New Hours  Open Friday nights

Starting next week, March 27, we will be open until 9 pm on Fridays. We will not be open on Thursdays, and only open on Wednesdays for the Tarot classes in the evening.

The hours on the website and on the door will be changed this week end to reflect these new hours.

When we get more volunteers, we will be open more hours.  Thank you very much for your support and encouragement, and we hope you will find the Friday hours more convenient that the Thursday night hours were.

Many Blessings!

Check out our Download Resources Page

We’ve been collecting URLs of websites that have free downloads of full-text books and magazines, as well as free downloads of .mp3 files and podcasts.

If you know of other websites that host download resources, we would be glad to add them to our list.

I just found out that spam filters look at links other than to our own site, as spam.  Since this newsletter links to events and items not on our website, we have to modify our approach.

Now, all the links in this newsletter will go to the online version on our website, where the real links will be.

History Redux

Revisionist History Study Group

Monday, April 20   7 – 8:30 pm

Free for members, $5 for non-members.

We are continuing on with the Book of the Hopi – no one finished it, and we want to!  This was written in 1969, as told by Hopi elders to Frank Waters. It starts with their cosmology of how the world began, then tells the story of the increasing materialism of people, until the Creator feels it necessary to destroy the world – three time!

Now we are in the fourth world, and the Hopi remember their story as they climbed out from the safety of the earth, to travel the four directions.  They describe their travels through North and South American, explaining the meaning of the pictographs they left on the rocks.

Since this book was written in the 60s, there is more comparative studies to relate these tales to than were available then.  We enjoy comparing the stories of the Hopi with the other books we are reading.

You are welcome to join us in April as we discuss the Book of the Hopi.

As always, it is not necessary to have read the book; those who have read it are glad to share what they have learned .

New Books

Restoring the Soul of the World: Our Living Bond with Nature's Intelligence

David Fideler, 2014

Fideler looks at recent scientific discoveries to explore the self-organizing intelligence at the heart of nature as an answer to the profound alienation brought about by the mechanistic world view introduced in the 16th and 17th centuries.  He explores the connections between science, religion and cult to help us reengage our creative partnership with nature and collaborate with nature’s intelligence.

Return of the Divine Sophia: Healing the Earth through the Lost Wisdom Teachings of Jesus, Isis, and Mary Magdalene

by Tricia McCannon

McCannon describes her initiation in to the Fellowship of Isis, and explores the mysteries of secret Christian traditions hidden for 2000 years of Christ’s teachings of the Divine Family – Mother, Father, sister and brother.  Director of the Phoenix Lodge Mystery School, she brings in the teachings of Egyptian, Celtic, Greek Hebrew and Native American teachings of the Divine Feminine.

DMT and the Soul of Prophecy: A New Science of Spiritual Revelation in the Hebrew Bible

by Rick Strassman M.D

Dr. Strassman’s ground-breaking work, DMT: The Spirit Molecule left him with the question about the meaning of the human mind’s connection with DMT, a field of study he calls theoneurology.  Using Jewish metaphysics, Dr. Strass man posits that DMT, which is naturally produced by the brain, as well as imbibed for shamanic healing in indigenous culture in the Amazon, provides a way for the brain to unlock its prophetic powers.

The Gift of Shamanism: Visionary Power, Ayahuasca Dreams, and Journeys to Other Realms

by Itzhak Beery and John Perkins

Itzhak Beery was initiated by his Qechue teacher and also trained with other elders from North and South America.  He tells of his transformation from skeptic to respected healer, detailing his experiences with power plants, dream work, and spirit entities, and learning to “see” shamanically as a method of diagnosis and prediction.

The Healing Wisdom of Mary Magdalene: Esoteric Secrets of the Fourth Gospel

by Jack Angelo

The Gnostic Gospels have revealed Mary Magdalene as the most qualified disciple to carry on Jesus’ work, yet her voice was silenced by the conservative men of the day.  Most of her work was lost.  Some of it was attributed to John, in the fourth Gospel. Angelo digs deeply onto the first 11 chapters of the John’s Gospel describing the seven miracles, as Mary’s teachings outlining the seven key to personal transformation.

From Around the Web

One of my favorite websites is WantToKnow.Info.

This is the message they sent this week, and wanted to share it with you.

Principles of Personal Transformation

Profound personal transformation is initiated by the realization that you are capable of direct access to the Divine. This is the realization that the wisdom of the Divine can be discovered deep within you. There is a wide range of means that can facilitate self-mastery through personal transformation. Though the means may vary, the intent behind the means is quite narrowly defined as the intent to expand into a state of integration whereby all aspects of your conscious self become increasingly aligned with your divine essence.

There are three particular life principles that help to align your perspective with the perspective of divine essence and thus inspire profound personal transformation. They are: 1) seeing the Divine in all; 2) nurturance of life; and 3) gratitude. When you apply these principles, a deeper meaning will be revealed to the seemingly random events of your life experience.
